Rice (WIP) is a comedy show about growing up in Asia and fighting repression with food. Transgressive, irreverent, yet adorable and heartfelt, with a touch of political satire.

About me: Made in China, schooled by the English, influenced by Tupac, Alvin Liu shares his ridiculous and unforced views on cultures and countries. Alvin started doing stand-up in Shanghai and in 2022 moved to London to pursue his dream of being a funny expat. Since then he has performed at The Comedy Store, Top Secret, brought his show to the Brighton Fringe and Edinburgh Fringe, and he has been nominated for BBC New Comedy Awards.
