Andrew White: Young, Gay and a Third Thing (WIP)

  • The Glitch 134 Lower Marsh London, England, SE1 7AE United Kingdom (map)
Comedian Andrew White looks exasperated in a fluffy fur jacket and large colourful earrings.

Andrew White has been described by Joe Lycett as “very exciting and very funny” and by teachers as “a pleasure to teach” (gay). Join the fast-rising stand-up for a hilarious hour of new material tackling identity, authenticity, and Musical Theatre themed weddings.

When Andrew went full-time with comedy, his new agent advised him to set out his stall and clearly show the world (UK comedy industry) who he was: "Young, Gay and a Third Thing". Now, four years on from those words of wisdom, he is still desperately searching for his Third Thing, before the claim of "Young" expires...

In a world of short form conent and quick fix culture, how much space is there to be truly authentic? Can our identities and lives ever be accurately conveyed via a character limited bio? Why are gay weddings either the best weddings or the worst weddings and there's no inbetween? Andrew White has the answers*

*answers = jokes around the topics and a broad throughline that likely ends with a forced callback to give the illusion of structure
