LBW: Pre drink hour

  • The Glitch 134 Lower Marsh London, England, SE1 7AE United Kingdom (map)

It is an autobiographical solo piece about the exploration for identity and the dilemma of being a migrant lesbian artist in the UK. Also it is an episodic journey about different themes related to home and sexuality using objects as inspiration such as green tea, coffee, cocktail and etc. Sharing drinks is an essential experience throughout the show to invite the audience into the questions we want to unfold- Whether to keep living a double life of being a lesbian or not? Where to land and rebuild home as a migrant? We would love to create watchable, tastable and chill experience for everyone by exploring the performativity in daily activities and live music, trying to break the boundary between documentary and fiction, theatre and performing art.

Ensemble Not Found is mainly run by 5 East Asian artists. Our previous work includes Project Atom Boi, recipient of Artist Choice Award at Vault 2023 and Woo Woolf for Calm Down Dear Festival 2023 at Camden People's Theatre, which is a series of short devising pieces inspired by any random thing about Virginia Woolf. Our focuses go cross unfolded East Asian voices, female narration and daily life. We have fun in the making process.
