About the Artist:
Tegan Verheul (she/her) is a London-based actor, comedian, and playwright. Originally from Vancouver, Canada, Tegan has an MA in Acting from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and is a founding member of the WWWC, a non-hierarchical creative collective of women and femmes dedicated to fostering creativity and uplifting marginalised voices.
Tegan's most recent play, Artist/Muse, co-written with Diana Feng and Clarisse Zamba (two creative conspirators from the WWWC), premiered at this year's Edinburgh Fringe Festival to great acclaim after being shortlisted for the LET Award in January 2023. Her autobiographical comedic solo show, Chokeslam, also premiered in Edinburgh this year and received rave reviews for its exuberant and unflinchingly raw look at heartbreak, friendship and the healing power of bloodsport.
