The Wandering Wombs of Hysterical Women tells the story of three male doctors, on a search for the cure for female hysteria. An illness created by men, treated by men, and now being explained by men. From hysterical suffocation, a gentle massage from a very eager doctor, or even a full hysterectomy, join us as we explore how far these men will go to maintain their medical pride.

About the Artist:
Fur Coat No Knickers Theatre is a female-led company making art that challenges the concept of a ‘woman's place’ in society. We challenge the ideologies, gendered stereotypes, and social taboos that continue to hold women back. Our previous works include VANILLA - a show about the fear of being boring and performed at A Pinch of VAULT 2023, Roast Beef - a photography installation about the comparison of food and the vulva at the Vagina Museum, and Waking the Witch - a vocal 'performance as research' project performed across Southend-on-Sea and Northamptonshire. We are currently the Associate Artists of the Royal and Derngate Theatre in Northampton where we host regular Creative Workshops.
