This performance is a work in progress performance of 'Girls Really Listen To Me' a one woman show written and performed by Eleanor Greene and directed by Alex Prescot. The play follows Madeline, pretty much one of the worst sixteen year olds you can meet. She lives on the Upper East Side of Manhattan and is convinced nothing bad will ever happen to her (think 'Succession' meets 'Euphoria'). This is debunked, however, when she begins to unpack her friends sexual assault. Girls Really Listen To Me explores consent, peer pressure, and the toxicity of disproportionate privilege. Loosely based on the writers own upbringing, it brings to light how certain societal structures contribute to assault.
